Barack Obama plans to apply his strategies in order to ensure a growing and prosperous economy. The current issues of today’s economy include stagnated wages and tax cuts. As wages remain the same, the costs of basic necessities, health care and college tuition are increasing. As for tax cuts, they only seem to work better for the rich as opposed to the middle class. Apparently the “Bush tax cuts gives those who earn over $1,000,000 a tax cut nearly 160 times greater than that received by middle-income Americans.
There are several plans that Barack Obama has in order to help defuse these current economic issues. As opposed to President Bush’s unfair tax code, Obama will provide workers the tax relief that they need. By doing this he will create a plan in which individuals will receive a tax credit of up to $500, or $1,000 per working family. This is beneficial in that it will eliminate income taxes for 10 million Americans. Along with his tax credit idea, Obama will also make it so that doing taxes will be less painful as it will take no longer than 5 minutes. He will take care of this by ensuring that the IRS gives the option of pre-filled tax forms in order for taxpayers to simply verify them. This is very useful because it will be less stressful and save everyone a lot of time.
Along with solving these issues, Obama plans on influencing the development of new technology in order to help create jobs and by making stronger economy possible. He will do this by increasing funding for federal workforce training along with creating an “energy-focused” youth jobs program that will support disadvantaged youths.
In conclusion, Barack Obama certainly has positive ideas in order to help the economy thrive. A lot of these solutions seem like they are pretty reasonable to carry out, but it is also a lot easier said than done.
