Healthcare

Barack Obama will make a new national healthcare plan available to all Americans, including small businesses and the self-employed. The healthcare plan with be affordable and will have almost the same coverage as the members of Congress. Obama states, “If you already have health insurance, the only thing that will change for you under this plan is the amount of money you will spend on premiums. That will be less. If you are one of the 45 million Americans who don't have health insurance, you will have it after this plan becomes law. No one will be turned away because of a preexisting condition or illness.” Obama’s plan for healthcare is in the right direction. No citizen in the United States should worry about healthcare. 45 million Americans are way too many people to not get the government involved. Especially since 9 million out of the 45 million are children. It is about time the government gets involved enough so that every American will be covered. Obama is getting the government involved enough to make a huge impact on every Americans’ lives but the plan is not going to complicate the healthcare system.

Obama plans on making sure that no American is turned down, every American will be covered by the government. This will prevent many citizens from getting turned down and not getting the treatments they may need. Since the healthcare package is similar to the members of Congress, every citizen will cover all the essential medical services, including maternity, mental, and preventive healthcare. Obama plans on lowering the premiums, deductibles and co-pays. This will affect the Americans who already have healthcare. Since healthcare has risen about 4 times faster than wages over the past 6 years.

The steps that Obama have taken are in the right direction. Soon every American will be able to afford healthcare and get the treatments they need.
