Obama and the dealth penalty

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/11/12/obama.death.penalty.ap/ While Obama has been the Illinois Senator he is making changes regarding life and death. He created changes that took place in 2003 and with 13 people being sent to death row, they all have been released because they have been found innocent or were convicted illegally. Members of the state commissioner have been applauding Obama for his success with changing the laws and really see a difference, a beneficial one.
Illinois has suffered many cases regarding capital punishment so everyone is looking at his changes and him as a huge accomplishment. When he was working on the debate said it was clear that you could see Obama was personally involved. He was said to be the one who kept people at the table and kept them interested with his ideas because it was an issue that Obama has been truly interested in. Obama continues to agree that they should not be putting away innocent people for crimes they didn’t commit.
Within the article, it was brought up that capital punishment is a very severe and emotional issue in Illinois. The parents of the victims who were killed were devastated when they men who killed their daughter or son, whatever it was, were releases. With Obama doing this, he would lose and gain support from his followers. Some might love the idea of what he is doing but some might also disagree like the families. Obama should continue to still be open to compromise with those who disagree with him.
