Obama's stands on Global Warming

All candidates take global warming very seriously. It is an issue that cannot be neglected anymore. Global warming had done enough damage for now. Obama thinks that Global Warming is going to have a significant effect over the long term. He states that oceans level is rising, and that can have an impact on the economy in coastal states. Obama brings out the example of the hurricane Catharina that had a major impact on the economy.

Obama’s plans on the issue are hopeful. He states that industries should pay for the carbon dioxide they put in the air. Each industry is allowed a certain amount of release of Carbon Dioxide; if they bypass the limit they have to purchase rights to do so, and if they are beneath the limit, they can sell their permit on the market. Obama believes by doing so, he is going to open opportunities for BRI technology.

Obama is ready to start remedying to issue from now. It would be a waste of time to wait until January 2008. Actions should be taken from now; the UN is ready to start “negotiations on a new pact to start Global Warming”. However, environmentalists think that real progress will only be made after the departure of George W. Busch.
